I recently bought an older home in the St Pete area. Like most, I found there were issues with the house and needed a new roof after inspection. Being in quite a time crunch before the move I relied on a friend who highly recommended Big C who went above and beyond. They were extremely reliable and professional. On top of that, they were able to make my ridiculous goal of a deadline and the roof looks amazing. Definitely would suggest using this company.
We needed the shingle roof replaced on our home during rainy season. I called Big C Roofing because they did an excellent job on our flat roof 2 years ago. Bill the owner, warned us getting shingles may be tricky due to the COVID situation but they came through and did a fabulous job! Big C found the Owens Corning Merlot we had our hearts set on and they installed an Attic Breeze solar vent. The roof looks neat and crisp! I couldn’t be happier!
Before re-roofing my house, I did my homework. Not only that but I made sure that I had gotten several estimates from local companies and ones that were touted online as being top-notch. I was mostly impressed by the companies that came out to give me their estimates with the exception of one or two. Online it seemed that all of the suggestions were for the same company (a different one) and that seemed good until I checked into who was giving the recommendations, it seems like they were not necessarily customers but rather friends and family, which did not disqualify that company in my book but it did make me suspicious. Big C came out and I was very impressed with the way Bill handled the business of roofing. He not only answered the phone on my first call but ensured me that if I called for any reason, he’d be the one who answered the call and I wouldn’t have to wait for a call back. That impressed me, I liked the idea that I could get in touch with the person that I needed to and not have to deal with any runaround. After getting all of my bids, Bill’s was very fair, not the cheapest and certainly not the most expensive but it was Bill himself that had sold me on Big C and the reason was that I didn’t feel like there were going to be any gotcha’s from Big C. One of the companies who had a better price left me with the feeling that there were going to be a few (hidden) costs when they got the old roof off. Bill made me feel comfortable in my decision to work with Big C. Now that my roof is complete all that I can say is it is an absolutely beautiful job. I had upgraded my asphalt shingle roof to a standing seam metal roof and it is just outstanding work. I have never seen trim work like what I received from Big C. It is just perfect and I could not recommend Big C more highly.
After hurricane Irma it was hard to find a good roofing company. My daughter found Chris from Big C he came right over and gave my an estimate. They worked with me as I felt with the insurance company. Big C did a great job on my roof and the crew was fast, polite. Chris came back to check the finished work and hung the trim on the roof that being said it’s a two story home. Thank you Big C and Chris
We hired Big C Restoration after Irma for a new roof. It did take longer than we were told, but this is understandable as all of Fl. was in need of a roof. The crew was excellent! They covered everything on the ground, they worked well together, quickly, very professional. Our roof is beautiful!! They did an excellent job. Even picked up every scrap and nails from the yard. I did have a problem with paperwork for our insurance co. When I spoke with Randy, who told me he was the owner, supervisor, and manager, he was extremely rude and belligerent, he did not get the papers to me as he promised. I did get the papers after speaking with Bill. I would hire them again and recommend them highly because the crew was fantastic and the roof is beautiful! Very satisfied!
After the storm hit, Big C Restoration came in and put on a new roof, replaced windows and replaced siding. It made my house look better than it did before the storm. The staff was very professional and dealt with the insurance company.
Big C Roofing rates five stars in my book! They are locally owned and operated … which is important to me as I try to support our local business community. You would be hard pressed to find any roofing contractor with more accummulated years of experience than Big C. I’ve interacted with Bill and Charlie and Scott in the course of the last few weeks and am extremely impressed with their knowledge and professionalism. I’ve found them to be extremely reliable and honest. Their quote is fair and reasonable … and they live by their word. Very happy to recommend this local business.
Bill Friddle and John Wilkinson are great! John was my sales rep and he really made the process so easy for me. My roof had some shingles lifted and blown away by hurricane Irma, and I did not think my insurance company would cover the damages but John always had faith that they would. The whole process was done in less than a month. He is great at his job and he’s a great person! And my roof looks great 👌👌

This review is long over due : Big C replaced my roof shortly after Hurricane Irma struct and destroyed our roof in Ft Myers FL most of the back half of the roof was crushed by 2 trees we had multiple holes and broken boards and one end of the corner of the roof was ripped off.Big C roofing to the rescue Randy and Bill put us to the top of the list and had the crew there within days the carpenter did an awesome job of rebuilding the end of the soffit and re framed the end that was ripped off. the holes were repaired and the shingles installed and within a short time our house was habitable again I cannot tell you what a great company they are I highly recommend BIG C ! 5 Very Big Stars.
Buying a new home in SWFL was our dream but the homeowners insurance was extremely expensive (due to the age of the roof) and we were required to replace the roof or be dropped by the company. We talked with several roofing companies and chose Big C Restoration after meeting the owner by chance at a gym in Port Charlotte. Their estimate was not the lowest nor the highest–more middle ground –and we could not be happier with the results of our new roof and the roofing crew. On top of that, we got a nice little refund from our insurance company once the project was complete. We highly recommend Big C Restoration!
After hurricane Irma we needed a new roof and some structural damage replaced. I also knew no matter who did the job it was going to be a drawn out process because of the volume of people needing repairs. So they came out and submitted a bid. We finally decided we would hire Big C for the job. They got the roof dried in ( we were under a tarp) and went on to other jobs as MANY others needed dried in. We didn’t stress because we were well aware that after a hurricane, one has to be patient due to the sheer volume of ppl needing work done. Well, they came back and finished the roof and after that, they came and did the structural repairs. Everything looks great! We are so happy with everything even though it did take time. After a disaster one cannot be selfish and demand for themselves. Things take time. It was worth the wait. Thank you Big C! A really good company to do business with!

Honest roofing company – did a great job on our new roof!
We knew we needed some roof repair after Hurricane Irma but didn’t think we couldn’t even meet our insurance deductible. Bill F. came by and closely examined our entire roof. Seeing as he is not only a licensed contractor but an insurance adjuster as well, he was able to work directly with our carrier and take the stress level way down. We were able to replace our entire roof and repair other damages. The crew that showed up were extremely polite, were here when they said they would be and did a bang up job fast. They were so clean that afterward i only found one nail. And that wasn’t even in a mower tire ! We tried calling other companies. 2 gave outrageous quotes and 1 never showed up. Every time I called with any questions They always found time to help. I would never hesitate to do repeat business. My wife and I highly recommend Bill and Big C !
